| 1946 Oct | Recovery of 9 holes from the East Course and 9 holes from the Old West Course was completed, and use of 18 holes was resumed. | |

5th Canada Cup was held at the East Course (Individual winner: Torakichi Nakamura, Team winner: Japan). It was broadcast by television for the first time in Japan, and triggered a nationwide boom for the game of golf.
